Report from Iron Chef: Mint

13 Mar

Thursday afternoon’s Iron Chef event at my office was a smashing success!

We started it off with some minty mojitos, and then jumped right into the judging. We had all been a little concerned that there wouldn’t be enough variety in the dishes people prepared for the competition. We needn’t have worried. Check out the line-up:

Entry #1: Minty Quinoa

Entry #2: Mint-Infused Fudge Brownies

Entry #3: Edamame-Mint-Pancetta Salad

Entry #4: Marinated Tofu with Mint Pesto

Entry #5: Chocolate Souffle Cupcakes with Mint Cream

Entry #6: Melon Delight

Entry #7: Mint Lemonade

All of the entries were delicious, but in the end, we selected the Chocolate Souffle Cupcakes with Mint Cream as the winner, and Anne became the first ever Office Iron Chef Champion.

Congratulations, Anne, on your tremendous accomplishMINT.

Next up:

“Positively Cinn-ful,” our cinnamon-themed competition scheduled for April.

You didn’t give your mojitos nearly enough credit.
