And now for something completely different

6 Jan

I usually try to keep my blog topics somewhere in the range of theme parties, scavenger hunts, holidays, and games. I figure this is what my tens of readers have come to expect, and I don’t want to disappoint them.

Today I’d like to make a quick interruption in order to do some blatant self-promotion. I recently completed a record (like, of music) called Wanderlust.  It features ten songs that I wrote, and then recorded at the Little Pioneer Cider House with the Little Pioneer himself, Craig Levy.

Awesome cover art by Zoe Pappenheimer

The songs are mostly about traveling or running away. One has a backwards piano sound in it. I won’t say much more because a) they’re hard for me to describe, and b) you can listen to them for free on my website. Not sure which song to listen to? No problem. Just answer these questions and you’ll be directed to the perfect song to match your mood. Also check out the artsy video made by the über-talented Zoe Pappenheimer and Brian McDermott. Bonus!

Your regularly scheduled theme party programming will resume shortly.

Yay Hannah! My current fave is “What the Outlaw Told Me.”

Thanks, Matt. I’ll pass that along to Zoe and Brian, too. 🙂

[…] The year started off with a bang. One year ago I was just getting back from an amazing trip to Turkey and then I reached a goal nearly five years in the making when I finished my record. […]
