Here at Everybody’s Invited, we believe that play, surprise, and adventure are key ingredients for a happy life. We provide inspiration and tools you can use to inject your daily life with a dose of serious fun.

Lots of people have a strong work ethic, but we think it’s just as important to have a strong play ethic. Getting the details of a theme party just right, crafting the perfect scavenger hunt list, or opting to invent your own game rather than play someone else’s are all examples of how to develop a strong play ethic.

This isn’t a self-help or lifestyle design blog, but you might find that once you incorporate play, surprise, and adventure into your everyday life, you suddenly like your job more, you fight less with your partner, or you have the courage to take on a big challenge. Perhaps when you read the theme party ideas, game reviews, and interviews on this blog, you’ll be inspired to try something new.

So here’s to taking your fun seriously. Thanks for joining us!

About Hannah Kane:

If Hannah could go back to college, she’d major in Theme Parties and Scavenger Hunts with a minor in Board Games, since those are the things she likes best. Hannah has 12 years of theme party and scavenger hunt planning experience, and plays a mean game of Bananagrams. She is the winner of the 2010 Pietopia: Life in a Pie essay and recipe contest, has released a record of songs about running away, and can solve a standard Rubik’s Cube in under two minutes. Most importantly, she is a Space Camp graduate.
